Is your oil pressure gauge maxing out at 80psi? Or does it show 0 pressure? Here are the steps and common fixes for your Jeep Cherokee XJ
- Bang on your dash? Yes, sometimes your gauge cluster connections become oxidized. If banging your fist on the dash corrected it, then you need to pull the cluster out and clean your connections.
- Locate your Oil Pressure sensor - Its located next to the Oil Filter
- Is the connector connected? No? Plug it back in!
- Does it have lots of oil on it? Clean the connection.
- Is it sheared off completely? Old age, heat or an accidental bump with the oil filter wrench can cause damage. Time to replace it!
